The Navy League is unique among military-oriented associations
in that it is a civilian organization dedicated to the education of
our citizens, including elected officials, and the support of the
men and women of the sea services and their families.
To this end, the Orange County Council works closely with Navy
and Marine units nearby. The O. C. Council supports active duty
military personnel through "adoption" of ships, installations and
units, award programs, financial support and service men and
women recognition programs.
The Orange County Council currently sponsors the following
active duty ships, squadrons or bases:
We also support the youth of the Santa Ana High School Junior
ROTC, as well as our Sea Cadet and Navy League Cadet
Squadrons,VALLEY FORGE and CTS VAMMEN.
Orange County is also active with the Navy League's Sea Power
Ambassadors program. A nationwide speakers bureau designed
to educate our citizens, media and elected officials about the
importance of maintaining a strong, credible naval fleet. For
